In the frame of its Brussels-based sessions, WIL Europe is organising on the 29th of November 2018 Breakfast Debate at the European Parliament in Brussels on the topic of:

Gender Diversity in the Workplace: Time to Walk the Talk

Gender diversity and inclusion is one of the most talked about issues at the moment, and for a good reason, as it makes both moral and business sense.

However, despite the clear research, decades of advocacy and pervasive headlines, many organizations are still struggling to ensure that women are really getting the same opportunities. With such strong rewards for gender diversity, it is time for workplaces to walk the talk and push for faster change.

The objective of this event is therefore to discuss and exchange best practices and strategies for building a conducive work environment, retaining and attracting women and supporting them to climb up the corporate ladder.

The debate will take place at the European Parliament, where we will be hosted by MEP and fellow Board Member Pervenche Berès.

    • Isabella Lenarduzzi, Founder and CEO of JUMP
    • Renate Nikolay, Head of the Cabinet of Vĕra Jourová, EU Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality
    • Caroline Thomaes, Country Leader Belgium/Luxemburg of P&G
    • Member of the European Parliament (to be confirmed)

Thanks to our partner INSEAD, WIL Europe is offering you the opportunity to join for a Panel Webinar on ‘How to Get Found on LinkedIn’, led by Gabriella Snoeck, Independent Executive Search Consultant, and Dee Clarke, Head of EU Campus programmes of Amazon.

It is known that employers have always preferred to hire known candidates and avoid the rigmarole of advertising roles. Now many recruiters are further scaling back open hiring. Instead they use sourcing teams to reach out to potential hires, often via LinkedIn. Smart candidates need to spend less time applying for jobs but work harder to make themselves easy to find for the roles they are targeting.

In this panel webinar, you will explore how employers now use talent acquisition teams to identify candidates, what they look for in a profile and how to maximize your chances of being “sourced” to expand your network connections and work opportunities. It might also be a good occasion to find out how to better source your next hire!

Panelists will share in this webinar key steps in the process:

    • What it takes to make a sourcer’s “long list” of approved candidates
    • How sourcers balance must-have vs nice-to-have attributes
    • Why your job title may be preventing you from being found
    • How your profile is read and where you should focus most
    • What sourcers regard as red flags

    All participants receive:

    • Access to the webinar and the chance to ask questions live to Gabriella Snoeck and Dee Clarke
    • Video recording for download after the event
    • Access to bonus materials resource pack.

Register here and be ready to increase your visibility and your professional network! Places are limited and will be given on a first come first served basis, so register as soon as possible!
