Milena Harito is a French and Albanian citizen.
She is actually at Orange, the Representative of the Chairman at the GSMA - the worldwide organisation of telecom operators.
From September 2013 to September 2017, she was Albania’s Minister for Innovation and Public Administration in Edi Rama’s government.
Mrs. Harito is an ICT engineer and has a PhD from the Paris VI “Pierre et Marie Curie” University. In 1997, she joined Orange (France Telecom) where she held different research and managerial positions until 2012. In 2012, she engaged in Albania politics and run for the parliamentary elections in June 2013.
She was elected Member of Parliament of the Republic of Albania. In September 2013, she was appointed Minister of Innovation and Public Administration and she led several reforms focused in the European integration of Albania, transforming the merit-based recruitments for civil servants, standardization, simplification, and digitalization of the public services. From 2017 to 2018, she served as Advisor of the Prime Minister of Albania, representing Albania in the process of creation of the Regional Economic Area of the six western Balkans countries.
Mrs. Harito was awarded “Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite” with a 2017 decree of president Macron. She speaks four languages: French, Albanian, English, and Italian.
