Biography
Claire is the Assisant Director-General for Business Policy, Investment and in charge of fighting against Financial Criminality at the French Treasury. She was previously Investor Director in the French State shareholding agency in charge of the energy division where she managed a portfolio of public participations comprising EDF, GDF Suez and Areva.
Claire sits on the board of several companies (RTE, ERDF, Eramet, Areva NC, Française des Jeux). She previously worked with the French Treasury as Secretary General of the Paris Club, an informal group of sovereign creditors working out debt restructuring. Before that she worked several years in financial services regulation, both for the French permanent representation in Brussels, where she was responsible for the negotiation of several financial services directives, and in Paris as Head of Unit in charge of prudential regulation for insurance.
As a junior, she worked with the French Treasury department in charge of international financial relations with emerging and developing countries. She graduated from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Postes et Telecommunications, and she holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources from Paris IX Dauphine University.
