Biography
Sophie is a senior tax specialist. Her day-to-day work is to advise the group on tax consequences of its projects, on tax requirements, on the risks she identifies regarding tax regulations. Her job is to be the tax expert for all sort of corporate taxes (CIT, VAT…), all around the world where Tarkett operates.
Sophie’s career has been rich so far. Starting as a journalist (in tax field), she wanted to see her expertise applied in a company. That’s why she joined groups as SPIE then Systra. She learned to work with accountants, with controlling, in France and abroad. Enjoying exchanges with other teams specialized in finance, she decided to join an incredible adventure and worked as general secretary in a start-up created by one of her friends. Three years of challenges, of fast-learning, decision-making, lead her to understand the way a company works and grows. That intense experience made her think about what she wanted to do with her career. Her choice is one from the heart: she knows tax, she wants to do what she knows. It is a simple as that. And that is how Sophie ended up being currently at Tarkett, working as senior tax specialist.
