Biography
Néné Maiga is from Timbuktu, Mali. She was admitted into HEC Paris in the top 1% of applicants and graduated in 2012. She has worked in various industries, telco, mobile money and payTV and in various positions (sales, finance, management) and has also been a board member. She has built a strong record of successfully growing businesses, improving their profitability and introducing innovation. She has significant international experience, having worked or studied in France, Morocco, Senegal, Mali, Cameroon, Mexico and Botswana. In 2017, she was appointed CEO of Orange Money in Mali and from to 2018 to 2021 she was chief of staff to the CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa. In 2021 Néné was appointed CEO of Orange Botswana and manages the gender parity program for Orange Middle East and Africa.
Néné truly believes that her continent, Africa, can take advantage of the opportunities that digital services offer to accelerate economic and social development, and looks forward to playing a significant part in that journey.
