Biography
Olena Podoleva is Professor of International Marketing, Vice-President of the Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce, Member of the Commission on Trade Policy and Investment of the International Chamber of Commerce (Paris).
O. Podoleva has more than 20-year experience in business support and development of non-governmental organisations. She has participated in many international projects focused on launching new businesses, SME development, trainings for entrepreneurs, etc. For several years she was an expert of the European Training Foundation (ETF) (Turin, Italy).
Since 2016 O. Podoleva is the coordinator of the project for Women Empowerment in Business. She has organised more than 100 events for women and was the moderator and speaker in many of them, including International women's conferences. For significant personal contribution to the development of innovations, O. Podoleva became the only woman among the 14 winners of the “Impact Award 2018” competition.
She received the award in Oslo in June 2018 from the international organization SEED FORUM GLOBAL. Prof. O. Podoleva has scientific and teaching experience, having worked as the Rector of the International Academy of Finance and Investment, Professor of the Ukrainian Academy of Foreign Trade, Head of the Department of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine. O Podoleva is the author of more than 85 scientific publications and research papers on economic, investment, and innovation policy.
O. Podoleva has the title of "Merited Economist of Ukraine" and was awarded The State Order of Merit of III Rank. She fluently speaks Ukrainian, Russian, and English.
