British, feminist and proudly European, Nicola has been WIL General Manager since October 2020. Her 15-year career has taken her around the world, from EU policymaking and negotiation in Brussels and Paris, to fighting to improve education standards in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Although her professional experience includes the varied areas of social inclusion, environment and education, defending women's rights and supporting female empowerment is the issue closest to her heart. Nicola is values-driven, results-focused and committed to changing the world for the better. Thanks to her international experience, she speak fluent French and Portuguese, as well as her native English.
