Biography
Claudine Schmuck is the Founder and Associate Director of Global Contact, which provides management consulting to CEOs and decision makers with focus on innovation, NTIC and change management. She is also an expert working with the European Commission, and as such collaborates regularly with DG Research, and has in the past also worked with DG Information Society to assess answers to calls for offers in the context of PCRD.

In 2008, she conducted the development and expansion of the SciTechGirls program for the Women's Forum. This program which gathered major global corporations ( L'Oréal, orange, Accenture, Areva, GDF Suez, Intel, Lenovo, Microsoft, Thales) involved the launching of the first exhaustive survey on women engineers in France as well as the organization of meetings with role model between young girls from various European countries and role models. She has also launched a cycle of conference on Women in IT as president of the Digital Club (Science Po alumni) within the G9+ which involves most leading universities in France.

Previously, Ms. Schmuck was the Director of Communications for Bull Europe. While at Bull, she created and managed their communications strategies, as well as communication tools for Bull's European operations. In addition, she coordinated the CEO's affiliate annual meetings and managed their projects funded by the European Commission that involved participation of external public and private partners.

Ms. Schmuck started her career as an executive assistant in the Cabinet of the Ministry of Industry, Research and Trade, where she mostly worked on developing public relations strategies and developing appropriate communication tools.

She then moved on to McKinsey Consulting where she managed and organized global seminars on HDTV and the globalization of mass media. Her work experience also involves a sting at the Compagnie Luxembourgeoise de Télédiffusion, where she developed competitive analysis tools and worked on the identification of market development opportunities for CLT in Europe.

She has been very active in the public space, as she both participated in, as well as organized a number of European and national conferences or workshops on innovation and business incubation with the support of OECD, the various French Ministries and DG Enterprise.

Ms. Schmuck is also highly valued by the public sector as she acted as an expert to the French Ministry of Economy and Finance. Ms. Schmuck graduated from the Institute of Political Science in Paris and has a Masters degree from Columbia University. She is member of European Professional Women Network.
