The European Network for Women in Leadership runs activities that promote women in their professional lives and that offer the opportunity to meet other women sharing similar interests.
WIL achieves its platform mainly through the organization of high-level events where are featured a number of distinguished speakers from diverse areas such as public authorities, prominent academics, business leaders, corporate executives, CEO’s of emblematic SMEs and also several European Commissioners and Members of the European Parliament.
To highlight a few, the network has been joined by, Claude Bartolone, President of the French National Assembly; Eugenia Bieto, Director General, ESADE Business School (WIL member); Craig Mundie, Senior Advisor to the CEO at Microsoft and its former Chief Research and Strategy Officer; Stephane Richard, CEO Orange; Cristiana Falcone Sorrell, Senior Advisor to the World Economic Forum Founder & Chairman (WIL member); the Honourable Julie Brill, US Federal Trade Commissioner; Lord Erroll, Chairman of the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group on Entrepreneurship…

Moreover, WIL recently launched a series of intimate dinner-debates in EU capitals and powerful Brussels based breakfasts and luncheons-debates hosted by WIL Board Member Pervenche Berès, Member of the European Parliament, Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, that are taking place 3/4 times a year at the European Parliament.
The topics of these sessions are dynamic and always relevant to both members & friends of WIL and the broader agenda of the European Union, as they follow closely what the European Institutions are doing.
These meetings attract a variety of high-level women (and some men) who are leaders in the private, public and academic sectors. The aim is to foster an opportunity for expert speakers to share their views on selected themes, providing insights for members and friends, and for the attendees to react, question and exchange in an open environment.
WIL recently organized an intimate and impactful breakfast-debate at the European Parliament, in Brussels with Elisabeth Werner, Head of Cabinet of Vice President for Budget and Human Resources of the European Commission Kristalina Georgieva; Dr.Milena Harito, Albanian Minister of Innovation and Public Administration; Nathalie Loiseau, Director, l’ENA and Denis Basque, economist.
