WIL Activities

Since 2010, WIL Europe has been acting as a platform where senior level women can meet and exchange, network, enlarge their horizons, and identify opportunities and ideas that are not readily available in their current social and professional environments. We achieve our mission through international and local events, peer networking, core social and economic debates with key political and business leaders, and via our Women Talent Pool programme.

Events and Networking Sessions

WIL events touch upon a diverse range of topics and offers our senior-level female Members, Talents and Friends the opportunity to broaden their understanding and speak on a variety of pertinent issues, as well as to expand their horizons beyond their immediate working environment. Our events are always a great occasion for the participants to network and connect with one-another, as well as with other high-level decision makers.

    Annual Gatherings

Each year, WIL Europe organizes a two-day Annual Gathering for its Members, Talents and Friends. The meeting takes place in a European capital and includes debates, networking sessions, training and workshops.

This year, WIL Europe held its Annual Gathering in Milan on 21 and 22 June 2019. The event was hosted by our partner Microsoft and by Cariplo Factory and Fidenza Village, who alongside Tech Italy Advocates and Softlab, also sponsored the event. More than 80 participants had the opportunity to meet and exchange with other WIL members, WTP participants/Alumni and selected guests. The  event included: a customized visit around the Microsoft Technology centre for participants of our Women Talent pool programme; panel debates on artificial intelligence and startups; networking lunches and dinners at the Microsoft house, Terraza Martini and Cariplo Factory; cultural visit to Palazzo Reale Art exhibition and a shopping day the Italian way at Fidenza village. EU Debates

Three times a year, WIL Europe organizes EU Debates in the European Parliament. Our debates attract a variety of leaders in the private, public and academic sectors and aim to provide insights for our members and friends on selected themes, allowing them to react, ask questions and exchange in an open and stimulating environment.

Our last EU Debates focused on Gender Diversity in the Workplace (read report) and on EU Digital Health (read report) and were hosted  by WIL Board Member and MEP Pervenche Berès, and MEP Lieve Wierinck.

    Exclusive Executive Events

The WIL network also organizes exclusive meetings for its members with opinion leaders and European political, economic, social and academic elites.

On 8 March 2016, some of our members were given the opportunity to meet and discuss with Emmanuel Macron, then Minister of Economy, Industry and Digital to discuss innovation, entrepreneurship and talent management, at the Ministry of Economy and Finance with the support of Women Equity for Growth. Local Gatherings

WIL Europe organizes local gatherings in various European cities, providing the opportunity for our members to connect and exchange. For example, on 21 February 2019, WTP Participants, Members, Alumnae and Friends came together in London at the Expedia offices  to reconnect, network, and listen to discussions on leadership, career developments and more.
