Montserrat Pardo is 49 years old and holds a University degree in business administration from the European School of Management ESCP. She also has the degree of Diplôme Grande Ecole de Commerce (France), European Master in Management (UK) and Diplom Kauffrau (Germany). Expert in telecommunications economics by Universidad Carlos III and expert in knowledge management and Intellectual Capital by INSEAD. In 2008, she was elected Alumni of the Year in the ESCP business school.


Executive with more than 27 years of experience, she has over 22 years’ experience working in the IT sector in the area of government affairs, policy, advocacy and program management, being the last 14 ones at Microsoft Spain as Government Affairs Director. In addition, she has recently been appointed Microsoft D&I Europe Lead in CELA (Corporate External Legal Affairs) for the next 2 years.

Before and during 7 years, she held different positions at the headquarters of the TELEFÓNICA Group (Madrid) developing her last responsibility as Institutional Relations Manager in the WW General Direction of MarCom and Institutional Relations. She joined Telefonica after working as competitive intelligence analyst in ORANGE (France Télécom). She had previously different responsibilities in the PUIG Group (Barcelona), AEG (Frankfurt), CONSULT GB (Canterbury) and VALEO Group (Paris-Barcelona).

Since 2016, she is Freely Appointed Patron/Trustee of the Board of Trustees in Tecnalia Research & Innovation Foundation, a leading private, non-profit and independent research organization in Spain and the 4th largest in Europe.

Born in Barcelona, she has lived, studied and worked in various European cities such as Paris, Oxford, Canterbury, Frankfurt, Berlin, Barcelona, Madrid and Bilbao. She speaks Spanish, English, French, German, Catalan and Basque.
