For the last 20 years, Ms. Marlet has been active in the public affairs field, first as a general adviser at Intergraf (printing industries) and then as a senior adviser for environment and logistics at Eurocommerce.

Christine Marlet joined Eurogypsum in December 2005 as Secretary General. In close cooperation with the board, she developed the strategy of the association increasing the visibility and the credentials of the gypsum industry at EU level. She carried out the coordination of an EU Life funded project on recycling plasterboard waste-17 partners ( She coordinated the European Network for Sustainable Quarrying and Mining ( and she promoted sustainable construction with gypsum based solutions (

Since May 2018, she accepted a position in a NGO European Women Forum to develop an innovative strategy striving to create a thin tank for women in society.
Christine Marlet is Belgian. She graduated in political sciences at the catholic university of Leuven in 1982, and completed a Post Graduate Certificate of Education at istituto internazionale per l’educazione (1986), Rome, Italy. She is extraordinary assistant professor at the catholic university of Leuven for the seminar “democratic innovations and transformations”. She has worked for 3 years in Luxemburg as corporate secretary at Fidelity Investments and at CLT.
