Biography
Isabella De Michelis di Slonghello is the CEO and founder of Ernieapp Ltd, a technology start-up, based in Dublin (Ireland) incorporated in January 2017. Company is focusing on taking to market a new consumer oriented “privacy service” implementing some of the strictest requirement set by the GDPR.

Isabella is also the MD and founder of High Pulse Gmbh, (2014) a strategic advisory and consulting company accounting businesses and governments among its clients. Company specializes in wireless, mobile and broadband policies advisory, telecom regulatory strategies, digital transformation; investment strategies; venture financing, policy communication.

Isabella was the corporate sponsor and founder in 2011 of the Technology Innovation and Investment Council (TIIC now renamed 4IP), an IPR advocacy focused think-tank, grouping large and SME high tech companies putting “innovation” at the heart of their vision for growth. She served as Board member and first Chairwoman until 2014.

Before launching her own venture, Isabella worked a Corporate Vice-President Government Affairs for US chipset giant Qualcomm Inc. (Nasdaq QCOM) where she served for over 12 years, setting up and leading company’s technology policy, regulatory agenda and strategy in Europe, Middle East and North African region. Since 2010 she was given the responsibility to initiate and oversight company global regulatory projects. She served as Managing Director of Qualcomm Belgium subsidiary and became member of Qualcomm Europe executive team in 2009.

Before working for Qualcomm Inc, Isa worked for US networking giant Cisco Systems (Nasdaq: CSCO) representing the company in Brussels across all European Institutions, designing its public policy program during internet bubble times (2000); before that she worked for Iridium, a MOTOROLA international led-consortium, as a Director of International Licensing; before Iridium she worked for Telecom Italia and for Telespazio as international corporate development manager and then in 1999 as a Director of Regulatory and European Affairs for Elsacom.

She started her career as an intern at the European Commission, Directorate General for Competition, after graduating from IUHED in Geneva in International Relations (1990), with a major in European competition law (from IUED). She holds an Executive Telecoms MBA from University College London (1996) which she did under Telecom Italia umbrella sponsorship.

She is a frequent invited speaker in technology policy, regulatory, legal IT and communication conferences (IBA, FSR, GSMA, IEEE, AREL, DTL). Has served as Policy Co-Chair for IEEE; she is a member of ASTRID in Italy; of IUHED Alumni Association (Geneva), a Board Member of Women in Leadership Europe and a strong advocate of the Women Talent Pool program initiative.

Married to an entrepreneur, she has one child and currently lives in Zurich (Switzerland). She is fluent in Italian, English and French.
