On March 6th, 2012, WIL has the pleasure to celebrate its 4th anniversary, through a luncheon with our first endorser, Viviane Reding, Vice-president for Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship of the European Commission. During the gathering, we are going to discuss the issue of “Female Talent in the Pipeline. Accountability in the Boardroom”; touch upon current approaches and results, as well as share with you the WIL Compendium of best practices for strengthening the female talent pipeline.
During the luncheon, Pervenche Berès, Chairwoman Committee on Employment and Social Affairs for the European Parliament, will share the efforts made by European Parliament to facilitate women’s access to the top of the hierarchies.
During the event we are going to officially launch the Women Talent Pool Programme, aimed at high-potential women in mid-level management positions, offering them training and networking opportunities. Through our network and sponsors (Microsoft, Orange, Qualcomm) we identified 20 Emerging Leaders, who are going to benefit from one-to-one online and offline sessions with Role Models (WIL members, who joined the programme, to share their experiences with the next generation of potential female leaders) and multiple learning and networking opportunities organised in cooperation with our partners.
